IF WE CAN HAVE A BANNER WARNING ABOUT SCAMMERS...SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS CAN TOO!
Advocating for your justice without fear of judgment or shame. Having the power to know your voice CAN make a difference.
We understand the importance of having your privacy. We also believe that every victim should be heard! The "MY VOICE" card will give every romance scam victim this incredible opportunity.
AARS will either personally deliver "MY VOICE" cards or mail them to each submitter's lawmaker globally to present facts and ensure appropriate trust and safety is administered as a duty of care.
This campaign is to help give romance scam and identity theft victims an anonymous voice and bring more awareness to those overseeing the laws and tech regulations of every state and country on behalf of online romance scams.
Your first step is finding a trusted participating organization or group to help you complete a "MY VOICE" CARD. You can find the list here at advocatingforu.com or Protectingheartsday.com. Once you reach out to your group of choice, let them know you'd like to fill out a "MY VOICE" card!
If you are comfortable loading and filling out the card, you are welcome to do so. You can find a downloadable PDF on the sites mentioned above! You will email your card directly to aars@advocatingforu.com. AARS will not use your email and name in any way. Only your "MY VOICE" card will be saved and printed.
Once your "MY VOICE" card is completed, your chosen organization will send the card to Advocating Against Romance Scammers (AARS) (the "MY VOICE" Campaign organizers). All data will be documented, placed in an envelope, and shipped to the appropriate recipients (mentioned above). The card information will not require personal information other than your generalized location (this is for AARS to know where to mail your "MY VOICE" card. AARS will use all data collected to show lawmakers the severity of this crime, how many are affected, and the need for additional attention for platform safety.
Nobody will know who you are, only the trusted organization that helped you fill out the card, and even then, you do not have to share your name.
AARS will send out all "MY VOICE" cards by the second week of September in hopes of getting traction on the issue of online romance scams by World Romance Scam Prevention Day on October 3, 2024.

Advocating Against Romance Scammers (AARS) will provide the data collected monthly from the “MY VOICE” cards!
Once the Campaign concludes, we will provide a comprehensive report of the findings. Nobody’s name or personal information will ever be included. The data will help shed more light on the issue of Online Romance and Pig Butchering scams, give lawmakers a full view of the scams’ effects on their constituents, and, most importantly, make victims feel they are not alone and that the stigmas will never define what they went, and are going through.
If you know of a romance scam victim, please share the “MY VOICE” Campaign with them! The more voices, the louder we are!
