Public & Legislative Support

Who We Help

Our support extends to everyone impacted by romance scams. Whether you’ve experienced financial fraud, had your identity stolen, or are supporting a loved one through their journey in the aftermath of a scam, you’ll find a welcoming, understanding, and passionate group of advocates here to help.

Scam Victims

Romance scams affect people across all demographics, and they result in deep financial and emotional trauma in the lives of victims and loved ones. Scammers build romantic relationships through online deception to eventually exploit victims, who then face devastating financial losses. We offer critical support and resources to help victims report these crimes, explore recovery options, and connect with a community that understands the enduring and complex impact of romance scams.

ID Theft Victims

Behind many romance scams are innocent people who are victims of identity theft. Scammers have stolen their photos and identities to lure more victims into fraudulent schemes and romance scams. We provide resources to help these victims document, report, and recover from cases of identity theft.

World Romance Scam Prevention Day

Join the global movement we founded to raise awareness, educate communities, and product vulnerable populations against romance scams worldwide.

We Fight Stronger With You By Our Side!

Your support helps amplify our impact in the ongoing fight against romance scams. Whether through donations, sharing resources, or joining our advocacy efforts, you can help us reach more victims, prevent future scams, and create meaningful change.

Hear What Other’s Are Saying

Kathy Waters works tirelessly to advocate for victims, and her trips to D.C. to push for better protections make a major impact. She and Bryan Denny lead the team at Advocating Against Romance Scammers with relentless dedication, compassion, and a fierce determination to educate the public and defend those impacted by romance scams. I’m proud to work with them.
